  • ASVAB Test Information

Byron High School is offering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Career Exploration Program to any interested 10th-12th grade student.  The program consists of the ASVAB test and a career assessment, plus a follow up session to review test scores and career assessment results.  BHS will be administering this test on Friday, December 3, 2021.  This is a Flex Friday, so students will not have to miss class to participate in this optional program.  The follow up session will be scheduled once scores are available.

The ASVAB test consists of eight sections: General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Auto and Shop Information and Mechanical Comprehension.  The ASVAB is used as a military entrance exam, however, student scores will not be released to any military personnel unless requested by the parent/guardian to do so.

If you would like to learn more about this program to decide if it is a good fit for you/your student, please visit:

Interested students should sign up using this link by Friday, November 5, 2021.
