Independent School District 531 serves the Byron School District area located in portions of Olmsted and Dodge counties. The district is governed by a seven-member School Board elected at-large by district residents. Board members serve four-year terms. The Superintendent is appointed by the Board and serves as the Board's agent. Board meetings are held regularly with the dates, places and times published on the district calendar and here. You are welcome to attend the School Board meetings to observe its activities.
School Board Listening Sessions
The Byron School board wants to hear from you. The Byron School Board will have two members available before the first meeting of each month to listen to you. The listening session will be from 5:30-5:55 PM with the Board Meeting following at 6:00. During the listening sessions, the board members will be taking notes and notifying the rest of the board about topics that were discussed. They will not be making any decisions at the meeting. Listening sessions are held at 5:30 PM on the first Monday of each month at the District Office.
