We follow the guidelines and recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health and Education. Upcoming classes and activities may be modified to align with updated guidelines. What to expect of an in-person class

Arrival and Check-in
- All class participants should perform a self-check before coming to the class
- Face coverings are required in all indoor spaces, except in an organized sport when the level of exertion makes it difficult to wear a face covering.
Indoor Classes and Activities
- Instructors and students will wear face coverings at all times for non-sports, low exertion classes.
- Activities held in classrooms will be limited to 10 people. Activities in gymnasiums will be limited to 25 people.
- Social distancing will be practiced.
- Tables/desks/equipment will be set up to achieve proper social distancing and will face the same direction.
- Students will have their own set of supplies to use for each class. If the supplies remain onsite, they will be disinfected before and after each use.
- Instructors will manage social distancing throughout the class.
- Students will wash hands before entering class each day, after restroom breaks, before snack breaks and before dismissal at a minimum.
- If a student become ill during class time, they will be moved to an isolated area and their parent/guardian will be contacted for immediate pickup.
Outdoor Classes and Activities
- Instructors will wear face coverings at all times.
- Students are encouraged to wear a face covering when social distancing cannot be achieved.
- All classes and activities will have no more than 25 people in a designated space.
- Social distancing will be practiced.
- Equipment and material will be arranged prior to the start of class to ensure social distancing.
- Instructors will manage social distancing throughout the class.
- Students will wash or sanitize hands before class each day, after restroom breaks, before snack breaks and before dismissal, at a minimum
- If a student becomes ill during class time, they will be moved ot an isolated area and their parent/guardian will be contacted for immediate pickup.

What is our cancellation policy?
If we need to cancel a Community Education class:
- You will be notified of class cancellations with an email or a phone call. Please make sure your contact information is correct in our rschool Class Registration software.
- If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- If a class session is canceled due to weather or instructor request, we will try to reschedule the class. If we cannot reschedule, we will issue a prorated credit on your account.
- If a class is canceled due to COVID-19, you will receive a prorated credit/refund on your account for each class session that was missed.
- We complete the credits/refunds as quickly as possible, but this can take some time. Please contact us if you have any questions about your credit/refund.
If you need to cancel a Community Education class:
- If you notify us about cancellation at least 48 hours before the class starts and dropping the class does not take it below the minimium number needed to run, you will receive a full refund, minus a $5.00 processing fee.
- Once the class has started, there are no refunds given. Please contact the Community Education Office if you are dissatisfied with the class that you or your child are enrolled in.
- If there are extenuating circumstances that require you to drop a class, please call Community Education to discuss what credit or refund may be available.
- All fees associated with trips are nonrefundable unless the trip is canceled by Byron Community Education
Does the account credit have an expiration date?
- If you receive a credit instead of a refund, it does not expire and may be used toward any future class that you register for.

Yes! We are excited to be able to offer several classes online. As you looke through our online catalog at https://byron.cr3.rschooltoday.com/public/home, just check the title or location for the class to see which ones are offered online or virtually.
