What is an E-Learning Day?
An E-Learning Day may be called when there is inclement weather or if there are any issues with our buildings where we are forced to close. This day is still considered an instructional day. Teachers at each level have a plan and will communicate their requirements for the E-learning day with students/families.

About E- Learning Days
Announcing and facilitating E-Learning Days
- Families of students will receive an automated phone call notifying them of updates as needed.
- Teachers will communicate assignments for the students in their courses.
- Teachers will be online and accessible to provide support for student learning.
- Teachers may send home pre-planned activities.
- Accommodations will be made for students with special needs and for students that do not have access to the internet.
Staff Availability Teachers, administrators, and other licensed professionals will be available by phone, email or via the grade-appropriate digital learning space (Google Classroom/Google Meet or SeeSaw) from 7:30-3:00.

Pre-School
Byron Preschool students will not be assigned specific tasks to do on E-Learning Days. If you are interested in a fun activity, the following site has some activity boards for you to consider: -
Primary School
Activities will be linked through SeeSaw by 8:30am for students to complete throughout the day. All students will be marked as being in attendance and families have the entire day to submit work. Any student not submitting activities by the next day will then be marked absent.

Intermediate School
Byron Intermediate School E-Learning days students should have their IPADS as there will be a required school-wide virtual connection time.
- 9:30am-School-Wide required Virtual Connection Time
- Teacher will take attendance and review the activities or assignments for the day.
- 12:30pm-Optional connection time
- The teacher will be available to check in and answer any questions.
- The teacher is available for questions between 8am and 3pm through email also.
- On E-Learning days when the students IPAD is not available the teacher has a pre-assigned packet or form for students to complete.

Middle School
Byron Middle School E-Learning Days Plan:
- Students will find Google Meet invites on Classroom.
- Students will join each class online from 10:00-12:00 for 30-minute blocks following the A/B rotation.
- Block 1 - 10:00-10:30
- Block 2 - 10:30-11:00
- Block 3 - 11:00-11:30
- Block 4 - 11:30-12:00
- Teachers will take attendance each block and be available throughout the day for questions about what has been posted on Google Classroom.

High School

Students will submit their daily attendance by using the 22-23 E Learning Day Attendance for Byron High School form. (Attendance only needs to be completed once during the day). This form will be emailed to all students on the morning of the E Learning day and posted on their Advisory Google Classroom. Attendance must be completed by 3:00 pm on the E Learning day.

Students will check each course’s Google Classroom for their assignments.

The only requirement for Advisory class is to ensure you submit your attendance at least once during the day.

Staff will be available from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm. to answer student questions and during the following virtual office hours via Google Meet.

10:00-10;30 1st Block
10:30-11:00 2nd Block
11:00-11:30 3rd Block
11:30-12:00 4th Block
(Students are not required to attend but the opportunity is available to meet virtually with their teacher)
