Buildings and Grounds

The Byron Buildings and Grounds Department is responsible for providing quality building maintenance services for the students, staff, and community members who utilize the school district facilities. As a group, we aim to meet those needs by maintaining school buildings and grounds in a manner that provides a safe and comfortable environment that is conducive to a positive learning, teaching, and working experience.

Among other responsibilities, department staff ensure building safety and the optimal performance of building systems by providing preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, building security systems and interior/exterior repairs and renovations. Operations and projects include day-to-day maintenance as well as larger-scale projects.

• 120 Acres of Grounds that include 13 Athletic Fields
